Famous Musician Issues Death Threat Against Trump, Mainstream Media Totally Silent

British musician Morrissey says, if given the chance, he’d kill President Trump “for the safety of humanity.”

Yes, in an interview with der Spiegel this week, the 58-year-old who served as the frontman for The Smiths between 1982 and 1987 said that if he had access to a button that could instantly kill Trump, he would press it without hesitation.

“I would [push it], for the safety of humanity,” he said. “It has nothing to do with my personal opinion of his face or his family, but in the interest of humanity I would push.”

Also, according to  translation of the interview by the Washington Times, Morrissey went so far as to credit the media and its non-stop efforts to ridicule Trump during his 2016 campaign as the key contributor to his election day victory.

“Trump has received so much attention, especially when compared to other candidates — Bernie Sanders, for example. Although the media said he would not win, every day, all the headlines: Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump!” he said.

“The American media helped Trump, yes, they first created it,” he added. “Whether they criticize him or laugh at him, he does not care, he just wants to see his picture and his name. The American media have shot themselves in the leg.”

“I never expected him to be elected,” Morrissey continued. “Maybe, I have no faith in the political elite anymore.”

For what it’s worth, this isn’t the first time Morrissey has spoken critically of Trump. In a 2015 interview with the Daily Beast, Morrissey said Trump “can’t be allowed to represent America.”

“The world does not want to look at Donald Trump’s face for years to come,” he said at the time.

Also, the sharing of his political opinions certainly isn’t anything new for Morrisey, either.

In May, he was highly critical of  British politicians, slamming them for their inability to pinpoint Islamic extremism as the cause of terrorist attacks in the U.K.

He has also previously taken aim at Obama, whom he called “useless” Obama.  In a 2012 interview with TheJuice, he said, “I think we were all initially swept along with the Obama win, but he’s proven to be simply a set of teeth, and useless in every other regard.”
